This is a re-creation of a look that xsparkage did. Be sure to check out her videos on youtube! But, here is my rendition, I changed the colors, she used more blue-based blacks and I threw some read in there as well!

Cheeta-licious!

Hey girls! This is just another fun look I randomly decided to do! Let me know if you'd be interested in me making a tutorial on this look. Obviously, it isn't any every day look, so I didn't make a tutorial.

Keep smiling, girlies!

A Little Fun With Inglot

So, last night I got the sudden urge to just put on crazy makeup. I used my new Inlgot palette and just kinda did whatever I felt like doing. Here is the result. I realize the eyebrows need alot of work, but it was midnight and I didn't feel like drawing in perfect eyebrows.
I sent my sister a pic and she kindly referred to this look as "The Rainbow Fish". Thanks, Holly....

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary 24/7 Eyeliner Set Photos/Swatches

Hey Girlies!

So I have been waiting for this set to come out because I LOVE UD's 24/7 eyeliners. As soon as it came out I snatched one off Sephora's website. I have been using it for the past few weeks to get a good feel for all the colors and how I like them.

Well, UD did NOT disappoint. They are all beautiful! This set retails for $92, which may seem like alot, but it's not that bad. That puts each pencil at $6.13 and you also get the sharpener...so it's a steal of a deal considering that EACH of these pencils will retail for $20 alone.

If you already have some/most of the colors then obviously don't get this set. I would suggest checking ebay or amazon for the specific colors you want.

Also, these pencils will not budge throughout the day. When I swatched them, I tried to rub them off with water, and they would not come off. They are definitely waterproof. You need to remove them with makeup remover.

Here are the swatches! Enjoy!

                                                                    The Entire Set

I love the bright colors!

(left to right) baked, stash, bourbon, stray dog, corrupt, uzi, zero, perversion
(left to right) midnight cowboy, mildew, asphyxia, ransom, electric, binge, rockstar

Inglot #205 Nailpolish! LOVE at first application?

Hey girlsies!

So, my dad was in NYC last week and he picked up a few goodies for me from Inglot. First of all, if you follow me on twitter (username: LinDjewell23) you will know I am obsessed with Inglot.

I decided that I wanted to give their nailpolish a try and I had seen a few swatches on the internet of their "flakie" polishes. I think they looks soo cool! Really unique. Here is the picture of #205. They also have other "flakie" polishes that take on different colors when they catch the light. #205 takes one orange, teal, and green tones mostly. I love it! Check it out!!

They don't have an online store set up yet, but you go to their website you can find contact information for their stores and you can oder over the phone.

I can't stop staring at my nails!

Back to Blogging!

Hey Everyone!

Well, It has been a little while since I've posted! I have been trying to iron out some ideas and figure out exactly how I want to approach youtubing and blogging. It seems senseless to be blogging the same stuff that I'm making videos about, right?

Here is what I have decided. I am going to blog the things I do not have time to put on my channel. How does that sound? So, If I get a new product I want to review, but I just don't have time make a video, I'll do a quick review on here! I think this would be best for all of us!

I have also come across"tumblr"...I wanted to follow a friend on there so I signed up. I am thinking about making that my "personal" kinda of diary-every-day-life blog. I'll blog about my days or fun things happening, post pics, all that fun stuff!

Let me know what you guys think! I appreciate your feedback!

Back to School

Hey Gorgeous Girls!

So, I'm back at school! Today was the start of another semester of hard work and great opportunities! I'm hoping this semester proves to be one of the best yet, in and out of school.

I have been blown away with how my youtube channel has really grown and expanded! It's a dream come true. I absolutely LOVE making videos and it's so cool that people actually watch them. haha

All of you guys have encouraged me so much. I can't thank you enough for all your support on my blog and also on my channel.

I have been trying to decide what I want to use my blog for....pretty much everything I have to say on the topic of beauty is on my youtube channel, so I was thinking about blogging about kind of random personal things....

Let me know what you guys think! I always love your input!!

Twitter

Hey Everyone!

So I have had a few people ask me to create a twitter....so I did. I'm still not sure I get the entire concept though. From what I have gathered it's kind of like a constant facebook status update? Well, eitherway, I have one. haha

So...totally go check it out and follow or stalk or subscribe, or whatever it is that you are supposed to do.

My username is "LinDjewell23"!

I'll be tweeting mostly about beauty and makeup stuff, but I'll probably throw in some fun personal stuff as well!

Lots of twitterish tweets,

Inspiration from Heartbreak

Hey Precious Girls!

So, I have had a very interesting turn of events this break. My boyfriend who came home from army training broke up with me. It was totally and completely unexpected. We were really serious, but sometimes things don't always go as planned...obviously I'm hurt, but I have to move on. So...

But, this post is not about heartbreak. It's about quite the opposite: inspiration.

I had coffee with a dear friend of mine from high school yesterday and we got talking about dreams and goals. She is one of those go-get-your-dreams types of girls and is always fun to be around. She really inspired me to dream big and not to stop there. She inspired me to take steps toward pursuing my dreams! One of the most important steps in reaching for dreams is to simply write them down! Write down all those crazy things you have always wanted to do and thought would be impossible! You have to believe in yourself. I need to believe in myself.

This is a really appropriate time of year for this post because obviously we are very quickly approaching the new year. So, here is my challenge to you: write down your dreams and goals for next year. Maybe you want to perform better in school, become a makeup artist, pursue an acting or singing career, be a better mom, spend more time with family, move to a big city?....anything!

So here is my list for this year: (random order)
1. Continue to grow my blog and my youtube channel
2. Inspire girls and women to be confident
3. make the deans list the next 2 semesters
4. go to a makeup show
5. spend more time with my lil sis, Jaymie
6. Get to know some makeup artists
7. become a healthier version of myself (lose like 10-15lbs and tone up) every girl's goal haha

So tell me your goals! Let's encourage each other and chase our dreams together!

Lots of hugs and glue for broken hearts....
Your Dream Chaser,

Christmas Wish/I-know-I'm-Getting-It-Cause-I-Picked-It-Out List

Hello Beautiful Ladies!!

I just wanted to share with you guys a few things that I know I'm getting for Christmas and a few things that I really want for Christmas! Maybe this will help you formulate your wish list or give you some ideas for friends!

Let's start with the things I know I'm getting because....well, I asked my mom for them and she told me to order it! haha So, here goes!

-Iwata Revolution HP-CR Airbrush
Guess what this will be used for? AIRBRUSH MAKEUP!!! So exciting!! haha I've been researching this for months! I already own a compressor and a different airbrush that I use for cookie decorating, so I will use the same compressor, but obviously this airbrush for makeup and the other will remain for cookie decorating purposes. I wouldn't want to paint my face with food coloring....that stuff stains...lol

- Dinair Foundation in "Vanilla", "Olive Beige", and "Natural Beige" .25 oz. each

I have researched the foundations as well and I felt as though Diniar's foundations were moderately priced and would work well with my skin. Not to mention the fact that they INVENTED airbrush makeup. lol This foundation is not water proof, and is water based, so we will see how it works out! I'll be sure to let you guys know!

- Dinair Blush in "Peach Pink" .25 oz.
It doesn't look very pink in this picture, but it's the only one I could find. I don't have the guts to try airbrush eyeshadow and all just yet. I figure I'll get the basics down with foundation and blush before I move onto the more difficult areas. Oh, and I chose the smallest sizes of each just in case I don't like it..that way I don't waste like $25...no one wants to throw money away...especially when I have books to buy for next semester...yay! I just can't wait...

-$50 Gift Card to Ulta! My mommy knows me way too well! haha she told me..I think she was excited..When she bought it may very well have been the first time she stepped foot in a makeup store. My mom is a minimalist...she wears mascara, on days she feels like dressing up. lol I love her to death! Sometimes I wish I were like that...I would have alot more money, that's for sure! haha Anyways, on with the list!

OK, on to the things I WANT, but doubt I'll get! haha

- Urban Decay Book of Shadows III

I really liked the Alice in Wonderland Palette, but isn't available anymore except for people selling it on amazon and ebay for like $100 on up...sorry..not worth it..lol but this one is retails for $54! Maybe that Ulta gift card? haha I LOVE Urban Decay's eyeshadows. They have amazing pigmentation, the colors are gorgeous, what is not to like? Well..ok, my only complaint would be that I don't like the packaging of the eyeshadow primer potion..too hard to get every last bit of product out. I feel like it would be much better if it came in a squeeze tube, like Too Faced Shadow Insurance...ok, anyways..I want this palette.

- NYX lip pencils
I'm not sure exactly what colors, but from the reviews I have read they are a great product for the price. I currently only own ELF lips pencils and they aren't my favorite. I would like something more creamy, which I have read that these are great!

-NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils
I wish I could own all of them! The are just so much fun! I love all the bright colors. I own 6 of them right now, but I'd love to own a few more colors. They work really well as an eyeshadow base to add some more color and help your shadow stay on...

Well friends, I think that is about it. I'm sure there are many other things I would love, but I don't have time to type them all out. My Psychology book and caffeine are calling my name. My last final is tomorrow! I'll be posting much more over Christmas Break!

Until then, Merry studying and Happy Caffeine!

Ruby Red Nails for the Perfect Christmas Homecoming

Hey Girls!
Doesn't this color just make you happy?! It's GORGEOUS!!!

This color is called, "The Show Must Go On". It is from OPI's new Burlesque Collection.

So, I am an army girlfriend as some of you may know. And obviously this entails not seeing your loved one for long stretches of time. This time it has been about three months : ( BUT, He gets to come home for Christmas this year! : )  So, when I see him I want to look perfect from my hair to my toe nails. haha

He has mentioned before that he loves when I wear red nail polish. So, THIS is the polish I have my sights set on wearing when I see him again. haha I think it looks like Dorothy's ruby slippers, but on nails. It's so pretty! I plan on making a trip to a beauty store in the next couple days to pick it up! I'll definitely post some pictures for you guys!

You can also find this nailpolish on Amazon. Here is the link. I would buy it off here, but I don't have time. He comes home in one week! I'm so excited and I'm sure he will love my ruby red slipper nails. ; )

Lot's of love and hot red nails,
<3 Lindey

(You guys may think I'm a little crazy for having a nail color picked out to wear when he comes home, but trust me, when you have three months to think about how to make two weeks perfect you think of every last detail. lol )

Finals are upon me...

Hey guys! Well, it's going to be a crazy week. I have "reading day" tomorrow...delaying the inevitable pain of finals...not a fan. It's just more time for me to waste and feel bad because I didn't spend it studying. Oh well.

I am a business major so I have a micro-economics final and an accounting final as well as two General Education finals. General Warning: Never take an accounting class if you can avoid it.

Well, I probably won't be posting alot of other posts this week, but I will try to pick up next week!! God Bless and Merry Christmas everyone!!

Moroccanoil Hair Oil Treatment Light Review

I'm in love!....with a hair product!
Hey Lovely Friends!

So, I have been using Moroccanoil Hair Treatment for a while now and I am absolutely loving it. I have light, thin hair that tends to be extremely unmanageable. The last time I went to get a haircut the guy cutting my hair said, "I don't know how you deal with this cranky hair, if I were you I would have chopped it off by now!" I was like...did he seriously just say that? Anyways, he ripped out like half of my hair while trying to brush through it. It was not a pleasant experience. My hair tangles VERY easily and I have not been able to find a good de-tangling product...until now. I not only love Moroccanoil for the way it keeps my hair shiny and healthy, but it also works wonders as a de-tangler! I put it on the bottom half of my hair after a shower before I comb through it. This makes combing through my hair much easier! I have been loving it.

One of my friends has actually commented several times on how healthy and shiny my hair looks! : )

I have used this on my hair while it is dry and it works pretty well, but I do prefer to use it when my hair is wet.

This product will also cut the drying time of your hair by about 25%. I honestly don't know why this happens, but it does and I like it. : )

I bought mine off of Amazon for around $35. Otherwise you have to find a salon that sells the Moroccanoil line of products. I could not find a salon near me that sold it, so I bought it off the internet.

Summary: I love this product and I would suggest it for any girl who needs to bring health and shine back to her hair.
